The gardens were a stunning surprise, filled with vibrant birds and lush greenery. Breakfast was a delight, with the staff always eager to help us spot a new species.

However, the early morning crowing from the rooster outside was a rude awakening. I’d recommend asking for a garden view room to avoid the noise.

The gardens are fine. I spent hours wandering through the vibrant blooms. My room offered an very nice mountain view, providing the perfect backdrop to my peaceful getaway. The food was a delight, especially the fresh juice at breakfast and the mouthwatering steak at dinner!

We enjoyed a wonderful stay with comfy beds and relaxing mornings by the outdoor swimming pool and in the lovely garden area. The only hiccup was the rooster outside starting its crowing at 3:30 a.m., but it didn't ruin our vibe at all! Definitely ask for a room away from the street for a quieter experience! 🌺

The breakfast offered a decent variety. the coffee wasn’t great, though, especially given Costa Rica's reputation for coffee. Staff were friendly and very accommodating, which added to the pleasant experience. However, my room didn’t have air conditioning, which made the evenings a bit uncomfortable due to the heat. WiFi worked flawlessly, and the hotel's location felt like a peaceful oasis, yet it was still convenient for trips to San Jose. Overall, I enjoyed my stay, but a few improvements like better coffee and clearer communication about AC would be helpful.

Additionally, noise from nearby events occasionally interrupted the tranquility. The room with a mountain view was quiet and comfortable, making it a satisfying sanctuary after long travels.

The shower pressure could barely manage a dribble, a real letdown. The carpets and fixtures show clear signs of wear, needing a serious update, especially considering the hefty price tag of over $200 a night. Breakfast options are limited, with sausages more like hotdogs and coffee falling below Costa Rican coffee standards. On a return stay, a previously decent mountain view room opened to nothing but roofs, which felt like a letdown for the same price as a garden view room.
